Sean Blazey earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons II) in 1993 and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1995. He began his career at Carter Holt Harvey, working in cardboard manufacturing as a project engineer, where he installed printing and die-cutting production lines across New Zealand for two years.
In 1995, Sean joined Vortex Engineering as a project engineer, focusing on air pollution control primarily within the solid wood processing industry. He spent eight years in the sector, working for companies like Vortex Engineering and Taylors Manufacturing. During this period, he accumulated extensive experience in mechanical design, project management, system design, and specification.
Sean transitioned to manufacturing management in 2003. Over the next twenty years, he held various roles, including Production Manager, Engineering Manager, and Plant Manager, spanning several industries such as Cardboard, Fibre Cement, Industrial Laundry, Insulation, and Food-Grade Plastics Recycling.
Recently, Sean has returned to the air pollution control industry with Fowlerex Technologies in Sydney. His career demonstrates a deep commitment to engineering excellence and adaptability across diverse sectors and roles.
