    Job# FTPL11333

    Background

The Boto Gold Project, situated in the thriving mining region of Kédougou, Senegal, is a significant operation contributing to the local and global gold markets.

To maintain their commitment to environmental stewardship and operational excellence, Boto S.A. sought a robust solution for managing dust emissions.

    Our Solutions

Fowlerex was tasked with providing a customised baghouse system, through Lycopodium, tailored to the Boto Gold Project. After thorough consultation and understanding of the operational requirements, Fowlerex delivered a specialised reverse pulse jet baghouse system. This baghouse was installed above a conveyor transferring ore or processed material, allowing any collected dust to drop straight back onto the conveyor. This efficient dust handling approach eliminated the need for a scrubber, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with environmental standards.

    Outcomes

The bag house was designed and developed by the team at Fowlerex, with contribution from Vortex Engineering and Taylors Manufacturing, and has been shipped to the client to install.
