Background
GrainCorp’s bulk grain facility in Dunolly needs to replace its aging dust collector to manage grain dust and allow for future extraction points. After a site inspection, we recommended increasing the airflow capacity from the specified 20,550 m³/h to about 25,000 m³/h to provide extra ventilation.
Our Solutions
We propose supplying a PA 120 × 4000 baghouse to Dunolly, including drawings, fabrication, pulsing equipment, exhaust fan, ladders and platforms. The design incorporates a fully welded mild steel housing, anti-static filter bags and on-demand pulse cleaning to ensure reliability and compliance with explosion-venting standards.
- Baghouse: PA120 × 4000 unit with welded 6 mm mild steel housing and heavy-duty tube sheet, using anti-static polyester filter bags with snap cuff attachments and rigid cages.
- Cleaning and Control: Online pulsejet cleaning with double diaphragm valves and a pressure-sensing controller to initiate cleaning only when needed.
- Safety Features: Explosion vents sized to NFPA requirements, plus ladders, handrails and access platforms compliant with Australian WHS standards.
- Exhaust Fan: Taymac FB710 exhaust fan with variable speed drive to handle 25 000 m³/h flow, plus inlet transitions and outlet ductwork.
- Material Discharge: Heavy-duty 300 mm rotary airlock, outlet auger, and a vibrating level sensor for the hopper.
