Engineering Design and Consultation

Our consultancy service helps identify the right air pollution control solution by assessing efficiency needs, space, gas characteristics, and costs associated with the operational needs of your business, industry and regulatory frameworks. Preliminary Inspection and Testing

Fowlerex draws on extensive project experience to analyse and improve air pollution control equipment, whether new or existing. Our engineers provide expert advice at the tender stage, carry out site inspections and flue gas assessments, and measure gas volume and dust load to guide equipment selection, optimise efficiency, lower maintenance costs, and extend system lifespan.

Manufacturing

Fowlerex focuses on the design and engineering of air pollution control systems, working closely with our Australasian group who complete the manufacturing. We have two specialist manufacturing companies, Taylors Manufacturing and Taurus Engineering within our group, this vertical integration across our business network allows us to streamline the design-to-production process. By maintaining this close-knit collaboration, we can continuously improve designs and deliver consistent, reliable outcomes for every installation.

Installation, Commissioning & Training

Fowlerex provides end-to-end support across installation, erection, commissioning, and training for air pollution control systems. Our experienced team can oversee the erection and installation of equipment with careful planning and skilled execution, delivering seamless integration and reliable performance on-site. Commissioning is carried out under supervision or as a full service, ensuring safe, efficient start-up and smooth transition into operation:

  • Cold Commissioning – A thorough inspection of all components and circuits before power or process gas is applied, followed by gradual introduction of power, aligned with client schedules.

  • Hot Commissioning – Gradual application of process loads, transitioning the equipment into full operational service.

To support long-term reliability, we provide tailored training that combines practical demonstrations with theory and to support confident longevity and upkeep of APC systems.

Servicing & Maintenance

Dust extraction systems should be regularly maintained and checked by experienced professionals to ensure it operates as efficiently as it did when first commissioned.

Our services include:

  • On-site maintenance and testing.
  • Advice on operation and maintenance throughout the plant’s lifecycle.
  • Upgrading equipment to meet new emission standards.
  • Providing detailed installation, operation, and maintenance manuals.

We also offer retrofit services to adapt existing equipment—whether supplied by Fowlerex or other manufacturers—to meet changing needs.

Examples include:

  • Retrofitting fabric filter internals or mast discharge electrodes to ESPs.
  • Upgrading ESP components, such as replacing pneumatic rappers with electric types.

Spare Parts Supply

Fowlerex supplies quality spare parts for a wide range of equipment, including:

  • Electrostatic Precipitators: JOY-Western Precipitation, BHA, TAPC, Lurgi, Flakt, Lodge Cottrell.
  • Fabric Filters: Filter bags, cages, pulse valves, dust valves.
  • Scrubbers: Packings, mist pads, spray nozzles.
