Over time, changes in airflow, component wear and operating conditions can significantly reduce the performance of a dust collection system. Identifying and addressing these underlying issues is essential to restoring reliable long-term operation.
Following a detailed site audit and condition assessment at Bluestone Tin Mine, Fowlerex developed and implemented a staged programme to restore the performance of the site’s existing dust collection systems. The project combined technical assessment, targeted equipment upgrades and project management to improve system reliability and extend equipment service life.
Our Solution
A comprehensive site assessment identified several factors affecting system performance, including uncontrolled airflow, uneven air distribution and worn internal components.
Based on these findings, Fowlerex developed and implemented a staged repair strategy, supplying critical replacement components including:
- Filter bags and cages
- Pulse tubes
- Dampers
- Fan assemblies
- Inlet diffusers
- Seals
- Structural components
Where appropriate, system improvements were incorporated to optimise airflow distribution, improve equipment control and extend the operational life of the dust collection system.



Outcome
In addition to supplying replacement components, Fowlerex provided project management, coordination and installation supervision throughout the repair programme.
By addressing the underlying causes of performance loss—not simply replacing worn parts—the project restored reliable system operation and improved the long-term performance of the client’s air pollution control equipment.
