Background
Fowlerex conducted an inspection of two dust collectors (510 DC01 and 510 DC02) in April 2025 for Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture, a leading mining operation in high-quality tin production . Significant wear and damage were identified, requiring replacement of key components to restore performance and extend equipment life. 

Scope of Work

• Supply and supervise installation of exhaust fan outlet dampers for both dust collectors to control airflow and pressure, preventing overloading. 

• Replace filter bags to ensure proper commissioning and filtration efficiency. 

• Replace damaged exhaust fan housing, impeller, and pedestal on DC02; motor remains reusable. 

• Manufacture and install a new dirty air plenum (main housing) for DC02, built from 3mm mild steel with matching flanges and paint finish. 

• Supply and install an inlet diffuser on DC02 to evenly distribute dust-laden air, reduce filter load, and extend filter life.
